Spencer travels

Hi Sandhya,

Spencer arrived in Brynteg School this morning and we were delighted to meet his new friend. Everyone in the school got really excited when they saw the beautiful box you had made and even more excited when they saw the amazing contents.

You are very kind sending us such beautiful Indian crafts. My class have decided we would like to send you some Welsh gifts in return so expect a parcel soon!

We will also send some photos of Laadli's adventures in Wales - would you like us to return her when we have finished?

Thank you so much for your fantastic parcel. I will post photos of the work and Spencer's return on the website for everyone to see.

Let me know if you would like us to do any more work with you. We are happy to take your lead.

Michelle

  1. Hi Michele

I m absoutly thrilled to learn about Spener's safe arrival .I hope Ladli will have a good time and we will look forward to her return .

We can continue this exchange as part of our feista project --and exchange parcels of traditions and festivals along with greetings and vocabulory in native language .

I hope it sounds like a lot of fun and excitement for kids in your schools as well as mine .
p.s .I m eagerly looking forward to putting pictures of ladli and spencer in your school on school notice board .

Also I need your suggestion -- in case you are developing lesson plans based on this exchange , it will be good idea to exchange with teachers in my school .all this is very new to them .It will be great if we can develop lesson resources as well as opportunities for professional development for teachers by exchange of teaching plns and ideas

  2. Hi,

I am moving from Reception (aged 4-5) to Year 2 (aged 6-7) from September (still in the same school) so I feel there will definitely be more scope for activities with the older children. We have a transition day at the beginning of July where they children spend a morning with their new teacher, ready for the new term in September, so I was planning on basing the morning on Spencer and his new friend Laadli. I will be making an activity plan which I am happy to forward to you.

Our school term finished on the 16th July so I will send Laadli back just before then.

I will keep you up to dat with everything we are doing in school (other teachers were interested in the work you had done so I have a feeling the whole school would like to join in) and look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Michelle
